Vytautas Lygnugaris has more than 35 years of working experience in the maritime industry. Fresh from the university in 1987 he started his career as a navigation officer in Lithuanian Shipping Co. and continued in various nautical and onshore positions.

In 1993 founded the maritime business Limarko Group and till present serves as Chairman of the Board.

In year 2002 he graduated from the Baltic Management Institute getting the Executive MBA degree. He currently serves on various maritime business related boards. Since 2022 till present he serves as Chairman of the Endowment Fund at Klaipeda University.
