Anders Hermansson is since March 2022 the CEO of the Swedish Shipowners´ Association, and previously upheld the position as head of shipping policy and deputy CEO within the Association. Mr. Hermansson also holds the positions as vice president in the Swedish Maritim Forum, Member of the board of directors of the Swedish Mercantile Marine Foundation of, and Member of the board of the Swedish Maritime Competence Center, Lighthouse.

Previously Mr. Hermansson served in several positions in the Swedish Government Offices, most recently as a Senior Advisor at the Ministry of the Economy and Trade, responsible for the development of the government’s maritime strategy and ocean policy. For several years Mr. Hermansson, also headed the unit for strategy, EU and international coordination at the Maritime and Aviation department of the Swedish Transport Agency. Besides serving as an expert to several government enquiries over the years, Mr. Hermansson is also a member to the Royal Swedish Society of Naval Sciences. Mr Hermansson holds a master’s degree in political science and economics from Lund University, and a bachelor’s degree from the Linne university in Växjö.
